Throughout the changing seasons, Ferngrove Cottages remains a relaxing, intimate resort for everyone.

Surrounded by miles of beautiful scenery, the inn is a perfect center for wine tasting, biking and hiking. An ancient redwood forest and the Russian River are moments away and it's a short trip to the spectacular Sonoma Coast and Sonoma Wine Country. The inn's accommodations are the Ferngrove Cottages whose guests enjoy a home-made breakfast each morning and the Ferngrove Vacation Rental Cottages which over-look the Russian River and feature private beach access.

Walking Distance to Restaurants and Shops

Ferngrove is just a short stroll to local stores and restaurants. There is a wide selection of dining experiences from Michelin-Star rated restaurants to outdoor cafes and traditional breakfast houses.

Traditional Bed & Breakfast

Guests of the inn start their day with a delicious fireside breakfast featuring signature home-made specialties. There are a variety of treats including homemade scones and granola, fruits and melons, pastries, breads, preserves, yogurt, juice and coffee and the menu is changed seasonally to provide the freshest ingredients to guests.

The Grounds

Nestled among towering redwood trees, the inn’s cottages are surrounded by delightful gardens that produce an abundance of flowers and fruit. There is a heated saline water swimming pool and it's an easy walk to the nearby swimming beach on the Russian River. The vacation rental cottages have private beach access and overlook the Russian River.

History

Fern Grove Cottages were built in the 1920's for vacationing guests visiting the Russian River area from nearby San Francisco. The tradition continues, as Fern Grove Cottages remains the Russian River's best getaway.

The cottages have been lovingly restored and most still retain their original knotty pine ambiance and warm yesteryear memories. Everyone is welcome at Fern Grove including well-behaved pets and children, with prior notice.

Ferngrove Cottages at the Inn:

Ferngrove Cottages are available with in-room spa tubs, wood burning fireplaces or gas log stoves for a cozy, romantic evening. Each cottage is unique with its individual theme. Several cottages have kitchens and many have wet bars. All cottages have a private bath, cable TV and WIFI. Cottages range from one-room studios, one bedroom & living room and two-bedroom & living room units.

Ferngrove Vacation Rental Cottages:

Fern Grove Vacation Rental Cottages are located on 2.5 riverside acres on the beautiful Russian River. There are spectacular panoramic river and redwood views from private decks. A large meadow leads down to the private beach.

Each Vacation Rental Cottage sleeps 4-6 people and, combined, can accommodate a group of 18. The vacation rental cottages have two bedrooms each, plus a sofa bed in the living room. The kitchens are large, well equipped and adjoin the dining area. Off-street parking is plentiful, including garage parking for two cottages. Amenities include full kitchen, dishwasher, washer/dryer, phone, TV, DVD, stereo, cookware, utensils and BBQ. WiFi is available at no charge and Vacation Rental Guests also have access to the heated saline pool across the road at Fern Grove Cottages Inn between May and October.
